RUNNING EVALUATION

Why

Running is a great way to get in and stay in shape. However, some statistics estimate the annual incidence of running-related injuries to be as high as 65%. Nearly all of these injuries are correlated with improper biomechanics.

At LOR we perform cutting-edge movement analysis to spot the underlying cause of your injury. Clinicians performing these evaluations have been trained by Dr. Christopher Powers, PhD, PT, FAPTA—an internationally recognized pioneer in the realm of movement education.

What to Expect

A thorough history will be taken along with a physical exam of your musculoskeletal system. LED markers will then be placed on different body regions. This will assist with calculating relevant joint angle calculations while you run on our pressure sensitive treadmill. High speed cameras are utilized to capture your exact movements.

You will receive a comprehensive explanation for the underlying cause of your pain at the conclusion of the evaluation. Exercise recommendations to start your rehabilitation occur on day-1 and a time-frame for your expected recovery will be provided.
